He was born in Athens on June 15, 1968. He graduated from Lycée Léonin in Patissia. He holds diplomas of French, English and higher music studies. He studied at the Medical School of the University of Athens. He obtained the specialty of Urology at the University Urology Clinic of the Laiko Hospital of Athens and the University Urology Clinic of SaintLouis Hospital in Paris.
He has worked as a scientific associate at the Urology Clinic of Rennes University Hospital for 2 years (2001-2003), where he specialized in intrauurology, gynecological urology, organ removals and kidney transplantation. He subsequently received laparoscopic and robotic urology surgery training at St. Augustin Hospital in Bordeaux (2003-2004) and the IRCAD / EITS Center in Strasbourg.
