Dr. Zisis Boukouvalas Plastic Surgeon is Director of the Plastic Surgery Clinic of the “METROPOLITAN” hospital and a Doctor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He graduated from the American College “ANATOLYA” of Thessaloniki in 1979 and then from the Medical School of Aristotle University in 1985. Immediately afterwards, he began his specialty in Great Britain where he worked in many Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Burns units such as “Charing Cross”, “Saint Thomas” and “Leicester Royal”.
He then went to California, USA, to the “Loma Linda” hospital as part of his doctoral thesis in Microsurgical Reconstructive Surgery.
He then returned to Great Britain as a Curator at the famous “Canniesburn” unit in Glasgow, at the “Royal Infirmary” in Aberdeen, and at the “Royal Devor and Exeter” in Exeter.
He then received the coveted “fellowship” of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons as deputy director based at the “Wellington” hospital in London, in which position he was the only common denominator for the 15 most prominent Plastic Surgeons of the time.
Upon returning to Greece, he created the Medical Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Anti-Aging “ANAGENNISI” in Thessaloniki and, in parallel, he fulfilled his military service and completed his doctoral thesis in microsurgery.
At the same time, while always maintaining his Thessaloniki practice, he worked privately for 2 years in Harley Street, London.
The medical company “ANAGENNISI” currently has four large clinics in Athens and Thessaloniki, with headquarters in Athens, and employs a total of 40 people, including 5 Plastic Surgeons, 2 Dermatologists and 2 specialized surgeons in hair transplantation. In parallel, it manages the Plastic Surgery Unit at the “METROPOLITAN” hospital, with a staff of 8 Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Boukouvalas, a distinguished plastic surgeon & ISAPS Assistant National Secretary of Greece , has been a member of major global organizations such as “ISAPS” , “ESPRAS” , “ICOPLAST” and “EASAPS” for many years . He also has a rich written work and has given numerous lectures in Greece and abroad.
