Endovascular Neurosurgeon – Interventional Neuroradiologist

He was born in Katerini in 1959. He graduated from Medical School of Athens in 1988 and had his neurosurgery training at “Asklipiion Voulas”, Athens while obtained the Greek Specialty of Neurosurgery in 1995.

From 1996 until 1998 he worked as an Attending Physician in the Department of Interventional Neuroradiology at the “Hygia Hospital “.

He further pursued a Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at the Hospital Petit Salpetrierre (Pr. Alfredo Casasco) in Paris, where he worked for a year (1998-1999).

Additionally, from 2000 until 2001 he also worked as Neurosurgeon in the Department of Interventional Neuroradiology at the “Hygia Hospital”.

From 2001 until 2003 he was appointed as the Scientific Director in the Interventional Neuroradiology Department at ” Medical Center of Athens”.

From 2004 until 2008 at ” Metropolitan Hospital ” and from 2008 until today at ” Euroclinic Hospital “, he was appointed as the Scientific Director in the Interventional Neuroradiology Departments.

From 2004 until today he is working as Interventional Neurosurgeon in the Department of Interventional Neuroradiology at the “Medical Center of Athens”, doing over 700 procedures.

Finally, he was Proctor of Boston Scientific Corporation, training physicians at Belgrade in aneurysm embolization using GD Coils
